Together, we're creating a place where everyone belongs.

For more than 80 years, Camp Medley has been changing lives.
It is where children discover confidence.
Where lifelong friendships begin.
Where young leaders grow.
Where families reconnect.
Where churches gather.
Where volunteers serve.
Where seniors return year after year.

And where countless people discover something simple, yet life-changing: They belong.

Today, Camp Medley is writing its next chapter. A new accessible pool and support facilities are being built to ensure that future generations, regardless of age or ability, can experience the same joy, friendship, confidence, and welcome that have shaped Camp Medley for decades.

This campaign is about more than replacing a pool. It is about protecting the experiences that happen around the pool while creating opportunities for children, young people, families, and seniors. Because when barriers are removed, everyone belongs.

The Vision Is Already Becoming Reality

Thanks to the generosity of government partners, churches, foundations, businesses, and individual donors, more than $1.2 million has already been invested toward the $3.4 million Accessible Pool and Facilities Project.

Now, the wider community has an opportunity to help bring this vision to completion.

Together, We Can Double Our Impact

We are deeply grateful to the J.T. Clark Family Foundation for their extraordinary commitment to Camp Medley and to future generations of campers, families, volunteers, and community members. The Family Foundation has pledged to contribute $375,000 by matching gifts designated to the Accessible Pool and Facilities Project.

Their generosity is an invitation for our entire community to come together and help create a place where everyone belongs.

Every eligible gift made during the campaign brings us one step closer to unlocking the full matching gift, adding $750,000 toward the Accessible Pool and Facilities Project. Together, we can create something that will serve generations to come.

Every gift matters!

Every person who chooses to participate becomes part of Camp Medley’s next chapter. Whether you give today, make a pledge for tomorrow, support the campaign through your church or business, or share this opportunity with others, you are helping create a place where everyone belongs.

Thank you for helping build Camp Medley’s future.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the campaign raising money for?

The campaign supports the Accessible Pool and Facilities Project, part of Camp Medley’s $3.4 million project. The project will create a modern, accessible pool and support spaces that serve campers, retreat guests, churches, families, seniors, and the wider community.

How does the matching gift work?

The J.T. Clark Family Foundation has generously committed $375,000 to match gifts made to Camp Medley’s Accessible Pool and Facilities Project. The Foundation’s commitment is contingent upon the campaign raising $375,000 in eligible gifts and pledges designated to the project between July 1 and December 31, 2026. Every eligible gift helps us move toward that goal. Once the campaign reaches the full $375,000 in commitments and donations, the Foundation will match those gifts, up to $375,000, creating a total investment of $750,000 for the project. Every gift, regardless of size, brings us one step closer.

What happens if the campaign raises less than $375,000?

The matching gift is tied to the campaign goal. The campaign is working toward raising the full $375,000 in eligible gifts so that the matching commitment can be realized.

Why has the J.T. Clark Family Foundation structured the match this way?

The Foundation’s generous commitment is intended to encourage the entire Camp Medley community to come together. Rather than replacing community giving, the matching gift amplifies it. Their hope is that families, alumni, churches, businesses, volunteers, and friends will each play a part in helping create A Place Where Everyone Belongs. Together, our community can unlock the full $375,000 matching commitment and add $750,000 toward the Accessible Pool and Facilities Project.

What gifts count toward the campaign?

Every gift designated to the Accessible Pool and Facilities Project counts toward the campaign goal, including:

  • One-time gifts
  • Monthly gifts
  • Multi-year pledge commitments (up to five years)
  • Gifts from individuals and families
  • Gifts from churches
  • Gifts or sponsorships from businesses
  • Gifts from foundations and community organizations
  • Gifts of publicly traded securities (shares or stocks)
  • Memorial and tribute gifts

Every eligible gift helps unlock the full matching commitment.

What is a pledge gift?

A pledge is a commitment to make a charitable gift over a period of time rather than all at once. For this campaign, donors may fulfill a pledge over up to five years. Pledges make it possible for many families, churches, businesses, and organizations to make a larger commitment than they might be able to make with a single gift.
To make a pledge gift, please contact John Galbraith, Camp Director, by email or call  (506) 488-2874.

How are pledge gifts matched?

Pledge commitments count toward the campaign’s $375,000 goal. As pledge payments are received over the approved pledge period (up to five years), the J.T. Clark Family Foundation will match those payments, provided the campaign has successfully reached the overall goal of $375,000 in eligible commitments and gifts by December 31, 2026. This means donors can make a meaningful commitment today while fulfilling their pledge over time.

Do monthly gifts count?

Yes. Monthly gifts designated to the Accessible Pool and Facilities Project count toward the campaign goal. Many supporters find monthly giving to be an affordable way to make a significant impact over time. Monthly gifts will also be matched as they are received, once the campaign goal has been achieved.

Can my church, business, or organization participate?

Absolutely. Camp Medley has always been strengthened by the generosity of many people working together. Eligible gifts from:

  • Anglican parishes and other churches and faith communities;
  • Businesses;
  • Foundations;
  • Service clubs;
  • Community organizations,

all count toward the campaign goal and the matching gift when designated to the Accessible Pool and Facilities Project.

Do gifts of shares or stocks count?

Yes. Gifts of publicly traded securities (shares or stocks) designated to the Accessible Pool and Facilities Project are eligible and count toward the campaign.

If you’re considering a gift of securities, please contact Philip Shepherdson, Comptroller and Treasurer of the Synod of the Anglican Diocese of Fredericton. He can be reached by email or phone (506) 459.1801 ext. 1004 for transfer instructions. You can also use our donation form found here and make a gift of shares through CanadaHelps to Camp Medley.

Is my gift tax deductible?
